Job Description

Connect to your Industry

We are constantly striving to improve the capabilities and service offerings in the Finance function. Our dynamic and fast-paced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team operates in a high-impact environment. It plays a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Group in making commercial decisions for our growing and complex business.

We are looking for a confident, curious, and motivated individual to join our established FP&A team, helping to provide insightful analysis that supports business decisions. This role will suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, improving processes, and learning how new tools and technologies can make Finance more efficient, insightful, and forward-looking. There is wide scope for this role to grow and develop in the future.

Connect to your career at Deloitte

Deloitte drives progress. Using our vast range of expertise, that covers audit, risk advisory, and consulting services across tax, legal, business, technology, and corporate finance, we help our clients become leaders wherever they choose to compete. To do this, we invest in outstanding people. We build teams of future thinkers, with diverse talents and backgrounds, and empower them all to reach for and achieve more.

What brings us all together at Deloitte? It's how we approach the thousands of decisions we make every day. How we behave, our beliefs, and our attitudes. In other words: our values. Whatever we do, wherever we are in the world, we lead the way, serve with integrity, take care of each other, foster inclusion, and collaborate for measurable impact. These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.

Connect to your opportunity

You will form part of the Core FP&A team, supporting key Finance reporting processes while learning how management information is produced, automated, and used across the firm. The team measures business and economic trends, reviews past performance, identifies risks and opportunities, and supports the forecasting process for the firm's future financial results.

This is a varied development role that combines regular reporting responsibilities with opportunities to contribute to improvements in data, insight, and reporting capability. You will be supported to build technical and analytical skills through hands-on experience with reporting, automation, and data tools, including exposure to SQL, Python, BI tools, and emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and GenAI.

In This Role, You Will

  • Understand financial performance, driving and tracking actions to deliver our strategic priorities and key targets, and linking external data with internal financial performance.
  • Create a clear and coherent story of performance and actions for use within the firm and at business level, with deep-dive analysis into performance issues.
  • Support the development and enhancement of Finance reporting, dashboards, and data visualization outputs.
  • Help improve, streamline, and automate BAU reporting and analytical processes, working with data from multiple sources.
  • Build exposure to analytical tools, automation, and emerging technologies, including AI, ML, and GenAI, and explore how they can improve Finance processes and insight.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
