The Role
Ready to elevate your career in banking and finance? Our highly ranked National Commercial Banking & Finance team is seeking to reinforce its core strength in asset-based lending through your expertise.
As part of a leading Corporate & Commercial practice, you will:
- Work on a diverse portfolio of domestic and international corporate debt finance transactions
- Focus heavily on asset-based lending (ABL), covering everything from complex structures to pioneering transactions
- Operate across Manchester, Norwich, and other hubs, forming part of a nationally connected, innovation-driven team that prioritises technical excellence and market-leading results
Candidates may be based in any of our UK offices, except London and Oxford.
The Person
You will be a commercially insightful Banking & Finance Solicitor with 4+ years of PQE, discovered in a recognised top-tier practice.
Key Attributes Required:
- Exceptional technical knowledge and drafting skills
- Strong negotiation ability in fast-paced financial environments
- Rigorous organisation and attention to detail
- Proactive, self-starting mindset
- Capacity to build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Effective interpersonal and workstream leadership skills

Key Responsibilities
You’d be responsible for:
- Advising banks, lenders, fund managers, and corporates on sensitive finance and security matters
- Working across asset-based lending, leveraged finance, corporate lending, with opportunities in real estate finance and capital markets
- Supporting corporate transactions, including M&A and bespoke funding structures
- Drafting and negotiating critical finance documentation
- Cultivating high-value client relationships and actively contributing to business development
This role innately exposes you to the world’s leading financial institutions, including HSBC, Barclays, Wells Fargo, debt funds, and institutional investors—delivering top-tier, high-impact work.
