An international law firm with a market-leading disputes practice is looking to grow its aviation litigation team with a Senior Associate hire.
This is a genuine opportunity to join one of the pre-eminent teams in the sector, acting for major airlines, aircraft lessors, owners, financiers and other key stakeholders across high value litigation, international arbitration and regulatory work. The team sits within a wider transportation and trade practice recognised as one of the leading global offerings in the market.
Please note: this role sits within commercial litigation and arbitration. It is not an aviation insurance role and does not involve insurance coverage disputes.
About the role
You'll get early responsibility and genuine ownership of matters from day one. Day to day work includes:
- Managing case progress and handling complex client instructions directly
- Drafting witness statements and other court and arbitration documents
- Drafting inter parties correspondence
- Conducting legal and procedural research and drafting advice
- Attending meetings and hearings
- Building your own network of contacts internally and externally
- Coaching and supervising junior colleagues
- Contributing to legal updates, articles and business development initiatives

What they're looking for
A qualified commercial litigator with strong general litigation or arbitration experience. Aviation sector exposure is a strong plus but candidates with a broad commercial litigation background and some aviation-adjacent experience are encouraged to apply
- Strong academic and professional qualifications
- Confidence taking ownership of matters, including client relationship management and financial/project oversight
- Commercially minded, resilient and comfortable with pressure and setbacks
- A genuine interest in building a career in the aviation and transportation space

Location and mobility
This role is based in London, with hybrid working available. The firm is genuinely open to candidates currently based in Australia or New Zealand who are looking to relocate, as well as those already in the UK market.
