Senior Associate - Bulk Talent Practice
We are recruiting a Senior Associate in London to support the growth of our Bulk Talent Practice. This role offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end search assignments and build long-term client partnerships, leveraging a strong network across bulk commodities.
Summary
A Senior Associate is responsible for mandate delivery in its entirety within a portfolio, managing both the client and candidate community. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to develop client relationships that generate multiple commercial opportunities for your portfolio and for the wider group. You will mentor associates to build on their business and assist them in progressing to a Senior Associate level.
Responsibilities
Sales Activities
- Arrange, attend and deliver pitches and meetings with established HC clients.
- Build and maintain key client stakeholder relationships to ensure repeat business.
- Support Portfolio Director identifying and converting leads within targeted development clients.
- Meet quarterly targets in line with incentive plan.
- Deal with speculative calls, aftercare and service calls.
- Client visits – new and existing clients – identify and follow up business leads.
- Identify and pitch the most relevant service offering for the client’s needs.
- Write proposal documents and tenders, negotiate fees and rates in line with recruitment policy.

Clients
- Build and develop long term relationships with existing clients.
- Manage a key account and the full end to end project delivery of any mandates.
- Develop a good understanding of client companies, what they do and their work culture and environment.
- Serve clients, identify their needs and provide feedback on success of filling jobs.
- Qualify job specification / salary information and record accurate and comprehensive job description.
- Organise interviews as requested by client.
- Provide advice on compensation and career progression.
- Network internally and externally with clients.
- Benchmark for clients – salary, availability, candidate pool, industry activity.
Candidates
- Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates.
- Candidate control – keep in regular contact to review progress and performance.
- Complete a search of the CRM, HC’s network, LinkedIn and other relevant sources (including referrals) to find the right person for the mandate.
- Pre-screen candidates for suitability and conduct interviews.
- Review CVs / market placeable candidates, search / shortlist CVs in line with the mandates you are handling and ensure CVs are of a specific standard and reflective of client requests.
- Provide information to candidates on clients and job specifications.
- Negotiate pay and salary rates and finalise arrangements between client and candidates.
- Provide advice on pay rates and career progression.
- Manage resignation process.
- Network internally and externally with existing and potential candidates.

Collaboration
- Share market intelligence internally in order to support the collaboration of our global business.
- Play a proactive role in ensuring a supportive team environment is maintained between regional offices.
- Understand and work towards the relevant Accelerators.
- Capture information, calls, correspondence, interviews and associated documentation on our CRM.
- Support global research projects, marketing / content and quarterly market review production activity.
- Ensure records are kept in line with legislative requirements.
