Job Title: Senior Associate – Business Support, Planning & Reporting

Manchester, England, United Kingdom (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) Competitive salary (dependent on experience)

Overview

We are partnering with a leading global financial services institution to hire an experienced Senior Associate – Business Support, Planning & Reporting to join a high-impact operations function within a global custody and wealth services environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience across business support, reporting, planning, coordination, and operational support to join a fast-paced and highly visible team.

The role will suit someone who combines strong organisation, coordination, reporting, and follow-up capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex operational environment. This is a broad, hands-on role that supports both the senior leader and wider team across a mix of business administration, reporting, meeting coordination, project/change support, and day-to-day operational tasks.

We are looking for someone who is practical, highly organised, detail-focused, and happy to roll up their sleeves to support the team across both high-value and day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide broad business support to a senior leader and wider team across a range of day-to-day operational needs
  • Support diary management, meeting coordination, action tracking, follow-ups, and preparation of meeting materials
  • Compile updates, information, and responses from multiple teams to support business requests and leadership priorities
  • Produce and maintain MI, dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and leadership reporting packs
  • Support business planning, team coordination, scheduling, and operational organisation
  • Track actions, deliverables, requests, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
  • Support the coordination of projects, change initiatives, and process improvement activity
  • Prepare high-quality reporting, presentations, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with operational teams to support client processing, reporting, and operational control activity
  • Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Business Management, Change, Technology, and support functions
  • Drive efficiency improvements through better reporting, organisation, follow-up, and structured process review
  • Support ad hoc business requests, planning requirements, and general team administration as needed
  • Contribute to reporting enhancement, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives where appropriate

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in business support, executive support, PMO/project support, reporting, operations coordination, business administration, or team support
  • Experience within financial services operations, client processing, custody, asset servicing, or a similar operational environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders with reporting, coordination, follow-ups, meeting materials, or business updates
  • Strong reporting capability with experience producing metrics, dashboards, scorecards, PowerPoint packs, and management information
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Demonstrated process improvement / continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insight
  • Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups, pivots, and reporting
  • Experience with PowerPoint and ideally Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Willingness to take a hands-on, practical approach and support both project-related and administrative tasks as required
