Corporate Solicitor – Senior Associate (Manchester)

The Role

Join a nationally recognised Corporate team as a Senior Associate in our Manchester office. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial corporate lawyer looking to take the next step in their career.

You’ll advise on a broad range of complex, high-profile corporate matters, working with a diverse client base including:

  • High-growth start-ups
  • University spinouts
  • Established businesses
  • Investors
  • Management teams
  • Institutional clients

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of M&A, private equity, and other corporate transactions, supported by Partners and Principal Associates
  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, managing deal progression from start to finish
  • Collaborate with colleagues across teams and offices to ensure seamless client service on complex matters
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact throughout transactions
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, helping develop technical and professional skills
  • Contribute to business development, networking, and marketing initiatives to grow the firm’s Manchester Corporate team

The Person

Qualifications & Experience ✅ Qualified solicitor with 4+ years post-qualification experience (PQE), gained at:

  • A national firm
  • An international firm
  • A respected regional firm

✅ Strong expertise in M&A (most valuable)] ✅ Proven ability to lead transactions as the primary day-to-day fee earner with senior support

✅ Advantageous (but not essential):

  • Experience in private equity transactions
