Senior Associate – Corporate | Manchester
LHH is partnering with a leading UK law firm in the search for a Senior Associate Corporate Solicitor to join its growing Corporate team in Manchester.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious corporate lawyer to join a highly regarded national practice, working on complex and high-profile transactions for a diverse client base. The role offers excellent quality work, strong mentoring from experienced partners, and genuine long-term career progression within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Associate, you will become part of a well-established Manchester Corporate team, supported by a wider national network of corporate specialists. You will advise a broad range of clients, including high-growth businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, management teams, educational institutions, and established corporates.
The work is varied and intellectually stimulating, with significant exposure to mergers and acquisitions, investments, private equity matters, and other strategic corporate transactions. Many of the firm's mandates have an international dimension, providing exposure to sophisticated cross-border work and high-calibre clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of M&A, private equity, and wider corporate transactions, with support from senior lawyers and partners where required.
- Draft, negotiate, and review key transaction documentation.
- Manage transactions from inception through to completion, ensuring matters progress efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple practice areas and office locations to deliver exceptional client service.
- Support, supervise, and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to business development, networking, and marketing initiatives.
- Play an active role in the continued growth of the Corporate practice.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales with 4+ years' PQE.
- Experience gained within a national, international, or well-regarded regional law firm.
- Strong technical expertise across corporate transactions, particularly M&A.
- The ability to take ownership of transactions and manage matters independently, with appropriate senior oversight.
- Experience of private equity transactions, whilst advantageous, is not essential.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to client service.
- A genuine interest in business development and networking activities.
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and supporting colleagues.
