Join a leading international law firm renowned for its expertise in competition, consumer, and regulatory law. With a global presence and a commitment to excellence, the firm advises top-tier clients across various industries, including telecommunications, energy, financial services, infrastructure, transport, manufacturing, and retail.

Role Overview:

The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Competition, Regulation & Trade team in Melbourne, Australia. The firm is open to sponsoring anyone that may be UK or Ireland qualified.

The successful candidate will engage in a broad spectrum of work, including: Advising on competition and consumer law matters. Handling regulatory compliance issues. Managing cartel and behavioural investigations. Assisting with merger clearances and regulatory advice.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic legal advice on competition, consumer, and regulatory matters. Represent clients in investigations and litigation related to competition law. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions. Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to their professional development.

Qualifications:

6 to 12 years plus of experience in private practice or relevant regulatory bodies In-depth knowledge of competition and/or consumer and regulatory law. Proven experience in advisory work Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines. Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
