Senior Associate, EMEA Insurance, Relationship Management

Job Description Summary: Ares Global Client Solutions - Relationship Management focusses on fundraising across all strategies of the firm including credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and secondaries to institutional investors The candidate will support creating customised solutions for EMEA insurance companies Primary Skills & Essential Responsibilities: Provide support to EMEA Relationship Management team with focus on structuring solutions and growing AUM with EMEA insurance In-depth knowledge of insurance balance sheet dynamics and Solvency II regime particularly in UK, Europe, Switzerland Proven track record in new idea generation and implementation of insurance friendly asset strategies Strong quantitative modelling skills applied to asset and balance sheet optimisation under MA and VA Knowledge of market risk affecting the insurance business, sources of shareholder value, and experience working with insurance balance sheets as an advisor/employee/structurer Experience working with rating agencies and negotiating legal documentation / drafting term sheets Managing internal and external processes from origination to execution Education/Certification: Undergraduate degree or equivalent Required Knowledge: Financial modelling as applied to insurance asset allocation In-depth knowledge of the SII regime Required Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience with insurance focus Skills/Abilities: Fluent in English; another European language an advantage Strong communication skills (including pitch building), great interpersonal skills Team player, fast learner High energy, enthusiasm and drive Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions. Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic Highly motivated with the ability to set priorities, multi task and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, VBA/coding skills preferred Reporting Relationships Managing Director, Relationship Management, Europe There is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity.
