Role Overview

As a Senior Associate within the Futures Middle Office and Operations team, you will play an integral role in supporting the daily success and infrastructure of a high-growth trading business. You will act as a key liaison between internal investment teams and external counterparties, master proprietary trade life-cycle systems, and drive process optimization across front-to-back operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trade Management & Analysis: Master the firm's internal trade capture, reconciliation, and reporting tools to deliver high-level analysis and support to internal stakeholders and investment portfolios.
  • Workflow Optimization: Develop a deep understanding of front-to-back operational workflows, proactively identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Counterparty Relations: Serve as a primary daily point of contact to build and maintain strong relationships with Executing Brokers, Prime Brokers, FCMs, and Fund Administrators.
  • Reconciliation & Clearing: Partner with clearing houses and brokers to resolve trade, position, and valuation discrepancies efficiently.
  • Technology Integration: Champion the adoption and integration of next-generation operational technology and automation tools.

Position Requirements

  • Experience: 5 - 10 years of dedicated middle office or operational experience within the Futures markets.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of Futures Brokerage & Billing processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep familiarity with industry-standard platforms including FIA Atlantis, DOCS, and FCR.
  • Exchange Systems: Hands-on experience navigating exchange systems such as CME ClearPort, WebICE, and similar platforms.
  • Clearing & Life Cycle: Extensive experience managing relationships with Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs), including T0 trade reconciliations, T+ Total Equity Reconciliations, and complex life-cycle events (Option Expirations & Physical Deliveries).
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; a self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced trading environment.
