Senior Associate, Human Capital Group
Evercore is looking to hire a Senior Associate for its Human Capital Group (HCG) in London. This individual will have a dual reporting relationship into the Head of Global Mobility & Immigration (NYC-based) and the Director, HCG Business Partner (UK-based). This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on client-service, problem solving, and attention to detail. The global HCG team consists of over 70 members and supports a premier global independent investment banking advisory firm of approximately 2,600 employees.
Responsibilities
- Work closely and support the Head of Global Mobility & Immigration to manage and track all employee immigration cases for intra-company transfers for [Evercore UK managed locations]
- Manage current employee immigration files and create new employee immigration files
- Maintain and track visa population in spreadsheets and through Workday HRIS
- Coordinate/schedule meetings and calls to discuss employee visa situations
- Filing/organizing documents into appropriate locations and performing other essential administrative functions
- Liaise with external immigration counsel on ad-hoc issues related to government inquiries (e.g., local hires, expats, UK campus hires or interns with work authorization issues)
- Proactive case management of Global Mobility population at all levels including:
- Assist with generating and reviewing assignment documentation
- Interact with Payroll, Compensation/Equity, Finance/Accounting, and Tax teams to review packages and allowances
- Coordinate allowances, including temporary housing, shipment of goods, etc.
- Generate business traveler and business visa letters for employees traveling to other locations
- Work closely and support the HCG Business Partners on initiatives that span the Global Mobility and Immigration space

Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6+ years of experience
- Excellent analytical, time-management, and organizational skills; flexibility and ability to manage several projects/priorities in a very fast-paced environment
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills – both written and oral
- Strong team player with experience in working with global teams across time zones
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Preferred Qualifications
- International and especially UK immigration knowledge is a plus
- Project management experience is a plus
- Familiar with operating as part of a global team
- Sound judgment – knowing when to escalate an issue combined with a willingness to be flexible and pragmatic when appropriate
- Independent/strategic thinker
- Sensitivity to confidential matters
