Senior Associate Heritage Consultant | Manchester

What’s in it for you? If you're a heritage consultant who wants to be closer to design, influence projects earlier, and play a bigger role in shaping the future of a team, this is a genuinely rare opportunity.

Heritage here isn't treated as a supporting service brought in to validate decisions after they've been made. Instead, it sits at the heart of the design process, helping drive conversations, unlock opportunities and influence outcomes on some of the country's most significant heritage projects.

It's also an opportunity to step into a leadership position with real scope to grow a team, develop people and help define the direction of a regional heritage offer.

For ambitious consultants who feel they've reached a ceiling in their current environment, the chance to build something substantial without taking on the risk of starting a business is difficult to find.

What will you be doing? The role will see you leading complex heritage projects across a broad range of sectors, working alongside architects, designers, planners and clients to balance conservation priorities with ambitious development objectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
