Senior Associate – Innovation
Based: Edinburgh or Glasgow
The Scottish National Investment Bank is seeking a Senior Associate - Innovation, who will play a crucial role in our mission to drive forward sustainable and equitable growth. We are a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to creating lasting environmental, societal, and financial impacts for the people of Scotland.
You will support the Bank’s Innovation investment team in providing financial, commercial and impact analysis and deal execution support. This includes:
- Creating and interpreting financial and commercial valuation models to guide decisions for potential investments
- Undertaking desktop research
- Scoping and assessing independent due diligence on investment opportunities
- Drafting and contributing to investment committee papers
- Providing consistent deal execution support for the end-to-end investment process
This role requires you to balance multiple time-critical deals in a complex environment, working as part of a supportive and skilled team.

About You
- Relevant work experience in a financial, commercial or industrial environment would be beneficial.
- Degree qualified in Business, Finance or related fields; professional qualification (CA, CFA or similar) will be highly regarded.
- Equally, practical experience gained in an M&A or transactional related banking, investment or corporate role would also be highly regarded for those without a degree.
- Enjoy working flexibly to client and transaction-driven deadlines in a diverse, solutions-driven team environment.
