Simmons & Hanbury are working with a tier one ranked international law firm on a Senior Associate hire into their Insurance Litigation team in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise insurer and reinsurer clients on coverage matters and disputes relating to financial lines and political risk insurance.
  • Lead the handling of complex warranties and indemnities (W&I) insurance claims, including policy interpretation, coverage assessments, and the development of litigation and arbitration strategies.
  • Manage high-value, multi-jurisdictional disputes across casualty and financial lines insurance.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' post-qualification experience with a strong background in insurance disputes and/or financial lines insurance.
  • Proven experience advising on W&I insurance claims, coverage issues, and related disputes.
  • Exposure to political risk, financial lines, or casualty insurance matters is advantageous.
  • Excellent litigation, legal analysis, and drafting capabilities.
