Position Description
Shutts & Bowen's Orlando office is seeking a senior associate/partner to join their Labor and Employment Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong background representing employers in employment counseling, workplace compliance, and employment litigation matters. The successful applicant should have experience advising companies, executives, and managing teams on a broad range of employment issues including federal and state employment laws, wage and hour compliance, employee relations, workplace policies, risk management, and human resources matters. Experience managing all phases of employment litigation, from pre-litigation counseling through discovery, motions practice, mediation, and resolution, is highly preferred.

Candidate must be a member of the Florida Bar and possess excellent counseling, drafting, negotiations, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with management-side employment counseling, workplace investigations, employee handbooks and policies, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, traditional labor matters is a plus.
