Senior Associate / Legal Director (Employment) – Genuine Partnership Opportunity

Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working)

Level: Senior Associate / Legal Director PQE: 7+ Years Type: Permanent

The Opportunity

A highly regarded Top 100 UK law firm is seeking an ambitious Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its growing Employment team in Bristol.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer looking for more than just another senior fee-earning role. The firm offers:

The Role

You will work closely with senior leadership to develop the firm's Employment offering in the Bristol market, advising a broad range of employer clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a varied employment law caseload for employer clients.
  • Building and developing strong client relationships.
  • Driving business development initiatives and contributing to revenue growth.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand the firm’s presence across the South West.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers within the team.
  • Collaborating with partners and colleagues across multiple practice areas to generate cross-referral opportunities.
  • Contributing to the strategic direction and growth plans of the Employment practice.
  • Handling Employment Tribunal litigation where required.

About You

We’re looking for a qualified Employment Solicitor with 6+ years' PQE and operating at the Senior Associate, Principal Associate, Legal Director, or equivalent level.

Key Attributes:

  • Commercially minded, with strong client relationship and business development skills.
  • Interested in helping grow a practice and developing a team.
  • A track record of winning work and building client relationships.
  • Proven experience in managing matters independently and supervising junior lawyers.
  • Entrepreneurial and career-focused, with a desire for long-term progression.
