About Alvarez & Marsal

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm with over 10,000 entrepreneurial, action and results-oriented professionals in over 40 countries. We take a hands-on approach to solving our clients' problems and assisting them in reaching their potential. Our culture celebrates independent thinkers and doers who positively impact our clients and shape our industry. The collaborative environment and engaging work—guided by A&M's core values of Integrity, Quality, Objectivity, Fun, Personal Reward, and Inclusive Diversity—are why our people love working at A&M.

The Team

The Insolvency Centre of Excellence (ICE) team sits within A&M’s successful Restructuring & Insolvency practice. It manages all compliance and technical matters on insolvency cases, working alongside the wider case teams. ICE also deals with longer term case progression matters. They maintain A&M’s standards of excellence, high levels of compliance and quality output, across a busy portfolio of cases. ICE deal with different sized cases ranging from mid-market regional opportunities to complex and international appointments, across all types of insolvencies.

How You Will Contribute

We are looking for a Case Manager (Senior Associate) with at least 5 years’ experience. You will be responsible for the day-to-date management and technical delivery of a diverse and, at times, complex portfolio of insolvency appointments.

The successful candidate will be a technically strong insolvency professional who can independently manage statutory compliance, stakeholder reporting and case strategy, whilst also leading, developing and quality checking the work of junior members of the ICE team.

The ICE Manager acts as a key interface between case teams, officeholders, and internal support functions.

Case & Portfolio Management

Day-to-day responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage a diverse caseload of formal insolvency appointments, including:
    • Administrations
    • Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations
    • Members’ Voluntary Liquidations
    • Compulsory liquidations
    • Other court based and non-court-based insolvency and restructuring procedures.
  • Take full ownership of the statutory lifecycle of appointments, ensuring:
    • All statutory deadlines are met
    • Filings are accurate, timely and compliant
    • Statutory aspects of case strategies are properly implemented and documented
    • Provision of technical input into case planning, appointment formalities and timeframes, exit strategies, creditor distributions and closure processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
