About The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Associate or Partner to join our Romsey office, as we embark on an exciting phase of strategic growth in the commercial and corporate sector. This is a unique opportunity to help build our litigation presence in the South Coast region whilst being supported by the existing team. You will be motivated, driven to succeed and confident in developing work from a thriving commercial centre.
You’ll be providing high quality dispute resolution and litigation advice and services by pursuing, defending and resolving a wide range of commercial disputes for a variety of clients including sole traders, individuals and SMEs, as well as large household names in the Hampshire region.
Day to day, you’ll have a varied caseload, including:
Taking instructions from clients Conducting detailed investigations and analysis of factual and legal issues Formulating and advising clients in relation to disputes, including providing advice on merits and strategy Preparing for and attending hearings, including conducting advocacy where appropriate Communicating with the client, witnesses, other parties and the court Obtaining witness evidence, instructing counsel and experts and preparing written submissions, where appropriate Meeting procedural deadlines imposed by the Court, Ombudsman or other tribunal Advising on and engaging in Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediation Providing advice and assistance to other members of the CDR team and the wider firm in relation to their matters Proactively participating in business development activities to support and drive our growth strategy

Whilst this role is based in Romsey, there will be the opportunity for you to work closely with other fee earners based in other offices.
About You

To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Be
A qualified Solicitor, ideally with 4+ years PQE in commercial litigation and dispute resolution Experienced in drafting and advising on court proceedings, witness statements and contract issues Efficient time management, organisation and planning skills with high attention to detail Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues and other contacts involved in proceedings Excellent analytical and legal research skills A collaborative team player, to include providing support and supervision to more junior lawyers
