The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Associate with 8 years’ post-qualification experience to join our Core Real Estate team in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-quality property transactions for a diverse client base, including institutional investors, developers, and corporate occupiers.

Our Team

The Core Real Estate team in Cardiff forms part of Eversheds Sutherland’s market-leading Real Estate practice. The team is comprised of three Associates, four Senior Associates, two Partners and two Legal Directors.

Together, the team advises on all aspects of property law, including acquisitions, disposals, lettings, development projects, and asset management. We work with a wide range of clients, from major UK and international corporates to public sector bodies, delivering pragmatic and commercially focused advice. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are central to our approach, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced lawyers across the UK network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on a wide range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, disposals, lettings and asset management.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, leases and ancillary documents.
  • Manage transactions from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.
  • Lead business development initiatives.

Skills And Experience

We are looking for:

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 8 years’ post-qualification experience in real estate law.
  • Experience of supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
  • Demonstrable business development experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of property transactions and landlord and tenant matters.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work under pressure.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client services.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
