Senior Associate – Real Estate (REPP Team)

Sharpe Pritchard, a friendly and ambitious law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join our thriving team within our Real Estate, Planning & Parliamentary (REPP) practice.

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting Partners by managing client cases, addressing queries, and fostering strong client relationships. The role involves taking responsibility for medium to complex projects and assisting on large, high-profile matters.

In addition, you will contribute to the development of junior team members, ensuring high-quality client service and adherence to firm objectives. This is an opportunity to grow within a dynamic, supportive environment that values work-life balance and professional growth.

Working in a hybrid capacity, you can balance on-site office work with remote working, with a minimum of one day per week expected in the office. Conveniently located near Kings Cross, Farringdon, and Chancery Lane, our practice offers excellent connectivity.

Core Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Lead and oversee client casework, ensuring timely, professional delivery and providing support, guidance, and training to junior team members.
  • Effectively delegate work, supervise colleagues, and develop junior staff and support roles.
  • Provide day-to-day mentorship to junior associates, associates, and trainees regarding their roles and expectations.
  • Serve as a source of expertise for technical matters and provide specialist guidance to junior team members or Partners.

Client Management

  • Manage casework allocated by Head of Department or Partners, adhering to firm procedures, quality standards, and legal protocols.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive client and firm documentation.
  • Deliver high standards of client care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain transparent progress updates for clients on costs, timelines, and project stages.
  • Where appropriate, deputise for Partners in client meetings or events.

Practice Development

  • Proactively engage in sales, marketing, and business development activities, including:
    • Participating in client events, writing articles, seminars, conferences, and trade shows.
    • Contributing to tenders and participation in client engagements (including possible secondments to client premises).
  • Drive firm branding and reputation in the real estate and planning sectors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
