Our Restructuring professionals serve as financial advisors to companies, financial sponsors, lenders, creditors, and other interested parties in distressed situations across virtually every industry and stage of the business lifecycle.
About the Role
As a Senior Associate, Restructuring, you will support the team by managing day-to-day procedures in both Restructuring Advisory engagements and formal Insolvency appointments—such as Administrations and Liquidations. With comprehensive training and supervision from senior colleagues, you will assist on a variety of assignments, including:
- Undertaking financial analysis and drafting independent business reviews
- Supporting accelerated M&A processes and asset realisation
- Conducting investigations and preparing statutory credit reports
- Engaging prospectively with diverse stakeholders while ensuring optimal working capital management
Key Responsibilities
Project Progression
- Oversee the efficient and timely progression of a portfolio of Restructuring projects
- Exercise ownership and proactive task management, prioritising deadlines and stakeholder communication
- Work with senior staff on high-level decision-making

Advisory Assignments
- Assist with financial modelling and analysis
- Review short-to-medium-term cash flow forecasts
- Draft independent business reviews
- Support options analysis for distressed business turnaround strategies
Formal Insolvency Assignments
- Maximize creditor returns through comprehensive company investigations and asset realisation efforts
- Draft information memoranda and business/asset sale documents
- Prepare statutory documentation and correspondence with regulatory adherence
- Manage case administration and compliance (percentage reporting, statutory deadlines, etc.)
Strategic Relationships
- Build professional relationships with lenders, receivers, trustees, and solicitors
- Conduct client site visits, engaging with management, suppliers, and employees
Essential Requirements
- Degrees and Qualifications: Minimum 2:1 honours degree or equivalent
- Experience: At least three years’ experience at a Top 10 UK accountancy practice or restructuring firm
- Accounting Qualifications: Preferred accounting designation; Chartered Practising Inspector (CPI) training is a plus, but not compulsory

- Analytical expertise with a proven ability to:
- Apply structured financial analysis methodology
- Feeling review for shortlist financial forecasts
- Drafts concise business reports under strict deadlines

Technical proficiency:
- Fluent in Excel (advanced modelling, pivot tables, Vlookup.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for reports and presentations

Communication and stakeholder engagement:
- Strong oral and written abilities for clear, persuasive explanations

Team collaboration:
- Degree of comfort working in high-functioning, collegiate teams across multiple concurrent projects
