(Senior) Associate Solicitor or FCILEx -Family Law
Farnfields Solicitors have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE to join our established and growing family law team at our Warminster, Wiltshire offices, on a full-time or part-time permanent basis (minimum 4 days per week) with the option of hybrid working (a minimum of 2 days in the office).
What is the role?
This is a key role, delivering high-quality legal advice, building strong client relationships and contributing to the development of the department.
Managing a full caseload consisting of:
- Divorce and dissolution proceedings
- Financial remedy matters
- Private law children (all areas)
- Pre and post nuptial agreements
- Separation agreements
- Cohabitation agreements
- Non-molestation and occupation order proceedings
- Provide strategic, practical, and client-focused advice from initial instruction through to conclusion
- Drafting pleadings, agreements, and complex court documents
- Conducting advocacy where appropriate
- Negotiating settlements and using NCDR
- Maintaining high levels of compliance, file management, and client care
- Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, counsel, and other professionals
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
- Contributing to the development of the family team

Who you are?
You will be an experienced Family Lawyer with comprehensive experience across all areas of private family law, managing a varied and complex caseload with minimal supervision.
About
A qualified solicitor or legal executive (authorised person) with at least 5 years PQE and have extensive experience across all areas. You will have proven ability to manage a complex caseload and sensitive cases independently with strong technical knowledge of family law and procedure. You will have excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills and be a confident communicator with a compassionate client-focused and solutions-focused approach. You will be able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ideally you will be a Member of Resolution Accredited mediator or collaborative lawyer but not essential. Supervisory experience is advantageous.
