Senior Associate (UK)

Senior Associate – Data Privacy & Cybersecurity

At Mullen Coughlin, we’re a fast-growing, internationally focused niche law firm specialising exclusively in data privacy, incident response, regulatory investigations, and compliance for organisations.

Our UK office thrives on a high-energy, close-knit culture with a small team of partners and associates across the country.

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our specialist team and provide legal counsel to clients experiencing data privacy and cybersecurity incidents. This role involves leading complex matters, including:

  • Large-scale ransomware attacks
  • Supply chain compromises
  • Cross-border data breaches

The Senior Associate will lead incident response efforts, guiding clients through:

  • Assessing and gathering relevant facts
  • Coordinating with forensic experts and third-party advisors
  • Managing regulatory notifications and potential enforcement actions

Due to the dynamic and unpredictable nature of cybersecurity crises, our team operates a rotating on-call schedule, requiring flexibility and crisis readiness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
