Audit Senior Manager - Surrey - £80-85,000
Our client, a leading independent accountancy and business advisory firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior Manager to join its growing Audit Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to manage a varied portfolio of clients while working closely with Partners and Directors on technically challenging assignments across a broad range of industries.
The firm's client base ranges from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses through to large corporate groups and high-profile organisations operating across sectors including technology, property, financial services, retail and not-for-profit.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, finance directors and senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with Partners and Directors on audit and wider commercial matters.
- Deliver high-quality statutory and non-statutory audits in accordance with UK auditing standards.
- Review and sign off statutory financial statements prepared under UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Support clients with broader accounting and commercial matters.
- Contribute to specialist assignments including due diligence, investigations and valuations.
- Drive audit quality and continuous improvement across the team.
- Mentor, coach and develop junior members of staff.
- Play an active role in business development, networking and winning new work.

About You
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Significant external audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience managing a portfolio of audit clients.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Outstanding communication and client relationship skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for clients.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing audit teams.
