## Senior Audit Manager – AI Non-model Objects
Team/Role Overview
The Senior Audit Manager is a senior-level management position within the AI Non-model Objects team, reporting to the Audit Director – AI Non-model Objects. The primary objective is to execute audit activities and assessments of the risk and control environment for the adoption of AI/GenAI, specifically related to AI Non-model Objects.
This role focuses on ensuring Citi Internal Audit’s approach to AI positions Citi IA as the leading IA function in the financial services industry.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As Senior Audit Manager, you will:
Strategic Auditor Role
- Deliver audit reports, Regulatory issue validations, and business/monitoring governance committee reports for AI model development, validation, and deployment.
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert on AI model risks and controls, disseminating knowledge across the IA team.
Portfolio Leadership
- Oversee portfolios within the AI Non-model Objects team, including:
- Stakeholder engagement
- Assessing key emerging/inherent risks
Business Advisory
- Actively participate in business initiatives and proactively advise stakeholders on change initiatives.
Innovation & Process Optimization
- Implement integrated auditing concepts and technology, monitoring trends in the Audit field, and adapting methodologies for Citi IA.

Risk Management & Control Solutions
- Identify solutions for complex, unique control issues with:
- Sophisticated analytical thought
- Splits the hairs against granular findings
- Analyse audit findings and propose pragmatic, creative solutions to risk and control issues.
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors to address broader corporate emerging issues.
Compliance & Ethical Standards
- Appropriately assess risks in business decisions, ensuring:
- Protection of Citigroup’s reputation and assets
- Compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Adherence to company policies and ethical guidelines
- Transparency in escalating, managing, and reporting control issues
- Supervision of others to maintain accountability for ethical conduct and compliance
Requirements
Professional Experience
- Previous experience in a related senior audit or risk management role.
- Strong understanding of AI modelauditing, validation, or model risk management within financial services.
Specialist Knowledge
- Knowledge of financial services regulations intersecting with AI/GenAI, including:
- Conduct risk
- Operational resilience
- Data protection/privacy (e.g., GDPR)
- Algorithmic trading
- AML/KYC compliance
- Consumer protection regulations
Certifications (Desirable / Preferred)
- CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)**
- AI-related certifications (e.g., certifications in AI ethics, MLOps, or advanced data science)
Key Competencies
- Business, Functional, and People Management: Proven ability to:
- Execute concurrent deliverables on strict timetables with high standards.
- Audit Innovation: Demonstrate adherence to continuous improvement in audit tools and techniques.
- Communication: Maintain clear, concise written & verbal communication across diverse stakeholders.
- Unbiased Decision Making: Remain neutral in a multicultural, inclusivity-focused environment.
- Negotiation Skills: Resolve conflicts and influence business decisions effectively.
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree/University degree in:
- Law, ethics, decision science, computer science, data science, finance, accounting, or a related field
- A Master’s degree is preferred for senior-level roles.
