About Us
We provide quality assured Electrical Engineering, contracting and consultancy services to blue chip clients on various geographical locations across Ireland, UK and Mainland Europe. We specialise in full turnkey solutions up to and including 400KV in the Renewables sector and other Mission Critical Facilities.
As Principal Contractor on the first of kind installation of a Hydrogen Electrolyser on the island of Ireland within Wind Farms, we take Pride as a front runner contributing to the decarbonisation of the electrical grid infrastructure.
Helping lead both Ireland and the UK in achieving our Net Zero targets by 2050.
About the Role
Our Senior Authorised Person will ensure implementation and compliance with Lagan Energy Engineering High Voltage Safety Rules (HVOSR’s)
Specific Responsibilities
- Production of switching schedules and carrying out switching on a large variety of private HV networks on commercial, industrial, construction and renewable generation sites.
- Switching, testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis and maintaining of high voltage networks from 11kV up to 275kV.
- Preparation and briefing of risk assessments and method statements for installation and maintenance tasks. Ability to take the lead in fault location activities.
- Familiarity with a variety of HV switchgear, transformers and associated cabling systems.
- Basic fault diagnosis and testing of HV/MV protection schemes. Working knowledge of the various components of a typical protection scheme and their inter-connection.
- Planning and Scheduling requirements in alignment with Project Delivery requirements.
- Technical Client Correspondence and liaison.
- Ability to apply specification to materials list set out as a Bill of Quantities for the Project.
- Collation of Documentation required from a technical perspective for Project completion Handovers.
- Assist with execution of HV maintenance programme across various sites.

Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience holding SAP authorisation under SPR/SPN or equivalent DNO authorisation.
- Willing to travel on a regular basis
- Hold a full UK/Irish Driving License
- Competent user of all Microsoft Office programs
- Multitasking and time-management skills
- Good judgement and decision-making skills
- Drive for quality
- Demonstrates a desire to Continuously Develop
- Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Hold current GWO certificates for entering a Wind Turbine.
- Previous commissioning experience
