Location: Sidcup, Bexley, Greater London Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours/week) with overtime opportunities

About This Role
We’re seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join our award-winning RJ Power / Ipsum team in Sidcup. This pivotal role focuses on maintaining Transformers and Switchgear projects, managing LV/HV operations, and ensuring compliance with High Voltage safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Field & Technical Services
- Produce and execute switching schedules for diverse private HV networks, covering commercial, industrial, construction, and government projects.
- Perform switching, testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and maintenance on HV/LV networks up to 11kV (preferable experience with networks up to 33kV).
- Lead risk assessments and method statements for high-voltage installation and maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and repair faults in HV/LV switchgear, transformers, and associated systems.
Operational & Project Management
- Plan and schedule activities in alignment with project delivery timelines.
- Coordinate technical client correspondence and liaise on project requirements.
- Apply Bill of Quantities (BoQ) specifications to materials selection.
- Complete project handovers, ensuring all technical documentation is collated.
About You
Essential Requirements
- Senior Authorised Person Certification with a recent refresher (within last 3 years).
- Demonstrated experience in private networks or Distributed Network Operators (DNO).
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electricity at Work Regulations
- High Voltage Distribution Safety Rules & CDM Regulations
- General health and safety legislation
- Ability to:
- Manage staff and projects
- Communicate clearly in written, verbal, and interpersonal contexts
- Respond to queries under pressure, prioritise tasks, and manage competing deadlines.
- Recognise commercial deviations from project specifications and escalate to senior management.
- Proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to contribute innovative ideas.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications (Bonus!)
- ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- SMSTS certification.
- Protection Training analogues (such as relay protection training).
- IOSH Working Safely or equivalent health & safety qualifications.
