Job Description

Location: Brett Martin Daylight Systems, Sanford Close, Aldermans Green Industrial Estate

This is a varied and highly practical role where you will take ownership of machinery design from concept through to build, commissioning, and optimisation.

You will design equipment ranging from simple fabrications (machine guarding, conveyors) through to complex process systems (resin mixing, dosing systems, pipework schematics, and MHE).

You’ll work closely with our maintenance team to bring designs to life and play a key role in driving innovation across our operations.

You will also take responsibility for managing engineering projects, including capital expenditure planning, budgeting, and delivery within agreed timelines.

About The Role

  • Design and develop bespoke machinery and production equipment.
  • Produce 2D/3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, and pipework schematics.
  • Integrate sensors, instrumentation, and vision systems into production processes.
  • Support data integration between shop-floor systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Work hands-on with the maintenance team to build, test, and commission equipment.
  • Collaborate with external design partners on larger-scale or outsourced projects.
  • Collaborate with internal production, process, and technical departments.
  • Ensure all designs meet safety and compliance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, improve, and optimise existing systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
