Senior Test Engineer – Aviation Sector
As a Senior Test Engineer within the aviation sector, you will play a key role in ensuring high standards of test scripting and reporting.
About the Role
This pivotal role involves linking hands with a strong team to provide robust test scripting for software products. Ideal candidates will bring strong experience in testing variations of software and reporting on deviations from customer expectations.
This position embraces both manual and automated testing, making it apt for professionals who have excelled in either or preferably both environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare test specifications and test scripts in a clear, well-documented format.
- Maintain precise records of all tests conducted.
- Document cases where testing reveals software shortcomings relative to specifications.
- Develop and maintain user documentation to assist product users.
- Collaborate closely with managers, project managers, customer service teams, and lead testers to align testing efforts.
- Evaluate customer warranty claims and software problem reports internally for consistency.
- Prepare relevant customer reporting data as required by the Lead Tester.
- Assist in defining functional and software requirements.

Technical Requirements
Core Competencies
- Experience with Jenkins, Python, Selenium, and Playwright.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with modern testing techniques, including BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
- Strong ability to communicate technical ideas across departments clearly.
- Comprehension of technical information gathering and analysis.
- Excel in producing high-quality written technical documentation.

Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in producing user documentation like User Manuals.
- ITSQB software testing qualification or equivalent preferential.
- Exceptional ability to multitask efficiently, staying focused with fluid switching between concurrent tasks.
- Minimum of 5+ years as a Software Tester.
- Hands-on experience in testing a variety of applications (desktop, mobile, web) including customer acceptance (UAT) testing.
