Role Overview
The role resides in the Quality Assurance and Test team and is positioned within the SAP platform team, reporting into the Product & Platform QA and Test Manager. This is both a lead and hands-on position and the purpose of the role is to help ensure quality outcomes that are aligned with our business strategy, specifically focusing on all SAP systems and integrated App’s interfaces for DLA Piper’s Finance and HR systems automation.
Given this is a senior automation QA role, you will bring a high level of experience in all activities associated with the Quality Assurance and Test Lifecycle, with relevant and up-to-date testing techniques and tool knowledge. Experience will be across SAP ecosystems, and include a deep proficiency in Jira, Test & test automation tools, which is critical to us supporting quality given the rate of change.
The role is responsible for championing quality, representing the needs and expectations of the business at all points and taking an appropriate approach to assurance to enable successful change. In addition to technical expertise, fostering meaningful relationships, influencing effectively and contributing to a world-class culture is key.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal approach to assurance and testing is taken
- Ensure rapid delivery is supported through test automation, test tools, and best practices
- Ensure quality needs and expectations are met, including functional and non-functional requirements
- Ensuring stakeholders have access to relevant quality information when needed, to support effective decision-making
Key Duties

Responsibilities Include
- QA & Test Lifecycle – Leading and contributing effectively at all levels of the quality lifecycle (including planning, design, management, execution, and reporting) across the SAP S4 Hana/Success factor/Concur along with integrated applications in Complex Integrated Landscape
- Informing & Aligning on Strategy & Approach – Supporting the development of test strategy & approach; aligning with best practices in all associated activities to support successful change & release
- Automation Tools & Techniques – Drive governance and standardization of QA tools, with an automation-first approach to building and maintaining reusable frameworks and libraries. Leverage Tosca as the enterprise automation platform, alongside Playwright, Jira, XRAY/QTest, and data/block automation, integrated with GitLab and CI/CD to strengthen controls and improve visibility
- Traceability & Reporting – Creating traceability records from requirements through to test results & sharing progress using the best approach
- Stakeholder Management – Effectively engaging with all stakeholders, (including IT, business, internal & 3rd parties), to achieve successful outcomes
- Continual Improvement – Drive continuous improvement across QA practices by promoting standardization, sharing lessons learned, and enhancing overall team maturity and effectiveness across teams

About You
Must have:
- Senior experience in large-scale SAP/Non SAP environments (change & release lifecycle)
- Strong knowledge across end-to-end QA lifecycle
- Proven automation and CI/CD experience
- Skilled in Enterprise automation tools, including Tosca and Playwright (API & UI scripting)
- Experience with complex system integrations
- Lead QA strategy, automation roadmap, and continuous improvement initiatives across programs
- Drive QA governance, standardization, and best practices across delivery lifecycle
- Mentor and support QA teams to scale automation capability and maturity
- Effective collaboration with IT, business, and third parties
- Strong attention to detail with clear, structured communication
- Able to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
- Solution-focused with a positive, proactive mindset
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
- Expertise in test techniques across all application components
- Strong Agile delivery experience
- Proficient in Jira/XRAY
- 8+ years’ experience in Tosca, with Tosca AS1 & AS2 certifications
