About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior AV Technician to join our technical production team, supporting the delivery of a wide range of live events. Working within a modern, technology-led venue, you'll play a key role in delivering professional audio visual solutions across conferences, exhibitions, awards ceremonies, corporate events, gala dinners and sporting occasions.
This is a hands-on role that combines advanced technical expertise with day-to-day leadership responsibilities. You'll support the successful delivery of live events, working closely with clients, production teams and freelance crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate will be a confident AV professional with excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering exceptional event experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Event Delivery
- Install, configure and operate professional audio visual systems across a wide variety of live events.
- Review technical requirements and ensure equipment specifications meet production objectives.
- Support the planning and delivery of event builds, rehearsals, live operation and de-rigs.
- Maintain high standards of safety, presentation and technical performance throughout every project.

Technical Leadership
- Act as a senior technician on event deliveries, providing guidance and support to technicians, freelancers and local crew.
- Liaise with clients and production teams to ensure technical requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across operations, project management and warehouse teams to ensure smooth event execution.
Equipment & Technical Support
- Assist in maintaining venue-based AV systems and technical infrastructure.
- Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance requirements.
- Help manage equipment inventory and ensure technical storage areas remain organised and operationally efficient.
About You
We're looking for someone with solid experience in live event production who enjoys delivering high-quality technical solutions while supporting and mentoring others.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Senior AV Technician, AV Technician or similar role within the live events industry.
- Practical knowledge of LED display technology, including installation, configuration and fault diagnosis.
- Strong understanding of professional audio and video systems, with a good working knowledge of event lighting.
- Experience delivering technical production for conferences, exhibitions, corporate events or similar live environments.
- Experience supervising technicians, freelance crew or local labour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to changing event requirements.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and other business software.
