About Cloud Bridge
Cloud Bridge is one of the fastest-growing AWS Premier Partners in the UK & EMEA, named AWS Rising Star Partner of the Year (EMEA 2023, UK&I 2022). We specialise in cloud consultancy, migration, managed services, cloud governance, FinOps and AI/ML, helping organisations unlock the full value of AWS. We are expanding globally with offices across the UK, Australia, South Africa, Singapore, Dubai and the Philippines.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Engineer to join our Professional Services delivery team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on, customer-facing delivery role within a consultancy environment - not an internal platform engineering position.
Working as a core member of multi-disciplinary delivery teams alongside Solution Architects and Project Managers, you will design and build secure, well-architected AWS environments and lead the migration of customer workloads into AWS. Migration is central to this role: you will deliver Landing Zone deployments, enterprise migration and estate-separation programmes, and the associated networking, server and database migration activity that underpins them. You will also contribute to pre-sales scoping and effort estimation, drawing on your delivery experience to help shape realistic, deliverable Statements of Work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build AWS Landing Zones and multi-account environments using Control Tower and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation and/or Terraform / CDK).
- Lead and deliver enterprise migration and estate-separation programmes - migrating servers and workloads into AWS using AWS MGN and related tooling, across structured migration waves.
- Migrate databases as part of infrastructure migrations to AWS - for example, moving on-premises MS SQL Server to Amazon RDS - using appropriate migration tooling and cutover approaches.
- Design and implement AWS networking for migrations - Transit Gateway, VPN, hybrid connectivity - and deploy application platforms into the target environment.
- Support live migration waves and cutovers in production, including planned out-of-hours activity where required.
- Contribute to Well-Architected Reviews, security hardening, DR enablement and cost optimisation across customer estates.
- Work directly with customer technical stakeholders as a trusted, credible engineer in a consultancy setting.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to translate designs into buildable solutions, and with Project Managers to deliver within SOW scope, timeline and budget.
- Participate in pre-sales activities: solution scoping, effort estimation and input into Statements of Work and proposals.
- Produce clear technical documentation - architecture diagrams, build guides, runbooks and handover material.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and capability building.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
