We are partnering with a modern, cloud-native digital consultancy that excels in delivering exceptional engineering, composable commerce solutions, and data-driven digital experiences. With a highly experienced team operating on a remote-first basis, they are rapidly expanding and prioritise bringing diverse talent to their innovative workforce.
The Role
- Design, build, and optimise high-quality server-side applications and APIs for complex digital experiences
- Develop scalable Node.js applications and microservices using TypeScript
- Implement strong patterns for performance, reliability, and maintainability in cloud-native environments
- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams for smooth CI/CD pipelines and efficient deployments
- Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers
- Participate in project planning and architectural discussions to guide technical decision-making

What You'll Need
- 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, with at least 3 years in Node.js
- Strong understanding of TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Proven experience building scalable APIs and microservices
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including serverless compute
- Solid understanding of authentication, authorisation, and API security best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with cloud-native development patterns
