Senior Backend Engineer (Golang)
£100,000 - £120,000 + Stock Options + Benefits
Location: London, 4 days onsite (Canary Wharf)

The Company
We’re partnering with a fast-scaling fintech building a global multi-currency account for people living and working across borders.
- Think: receive, hold, convert, and send money instantly, across 30+ countries
- They’ve hit profitability, are processing 1M+ users globally, and are now heading into a major scale-up
The Role: Senior or Lead Golang Engineer
- Handle the real-world challenge of collections across continents
- You’ll be joining a small, high-calibre engineering organisation, with real ownership across services that sit at the core of cross-border money movement
- Own key architecture and implementation decisions, building the financial backbone other parts of the business will stand on
- Designing customer-facing APIs to collect money through different payment strategies

About You:
- Strong commercial Go experience in production environments, comfortable operating at Senior or Lead level (design, ownership, technical direction)
- Background in fintech, payments, or highly regulated systems
- Experience working with scale, distributed systems, and reliability challenges
- Exposure to concepts like payment rails or banking integrations will put you at a strong advantage
- Interest in emerging tooling (they actively use Claude, Cursor, and are exploring agent-based systems for banking partner interactions)
