LYNA (lynacycle.app) is an AI-driven mobile app revolutionizing female hormonal health and nutrition. With our unique AI Food Scanner, users simply snap a photo of a meal to instantly track macros and micros tailored to their cycle. We have an ecosystem of 15,000+ women and are ready to scale our backend infrastructure.
The Role
We need a heavyweight Senior Backend Engineer to take full ownership of our server-side architecture for the next 3 months. You will optimize our mobile APIs, scale our cloud infrastructure, and streamline our AI computer vision pipelines.

This starts as an unpaid, commission-based internship with a direct track to a permanent Lead/Co-Founder role and major equity upon our next funding milestone.
What You’ll Do
- Scale and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS) to handle rapid user growth.
- Build and maintain high-performance APIs for our mobile app.
- Optimize AI/computer vision pipelines for real-time meal photo scanning.
- Ensure top-tier data privacy and encryption for sensitive health data.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of backend experience (Python, Node.js, or Go preferred).
- Proven track record scaling backends for live mobile apps.
- Experience with AWS, databases, and integrating AI/image-processing APIs.
- A startup mindset—you love taking absolute ownership and moving fast.
