I'm partnering with a rapidly scaling technology company that's building a sophisticated software platform used by customers across multiple international markets.
Following significant growth, they're looking for experienced Backend Engineers who enjoy solving complex engineering problems, building scalable systems, and working alongside a world-class product and engineering team.
📍 Hybrid – London
💷 £120,000–£160,000 Base + Equity
🚀 The Opportunity
You'll be joining a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing and building the core platform that powers a fast-growing global business.
Your work will involve:
- Building scalable backend services
- Designing distributed systems that operate at scale
- Developing APIs supporting high volumes of traffic
- Building reliable transaction and workflow services
- Delivering AI-enabled product capabilities
- Improving platform performance, resilience, and scalability
- Taking products from concept through to production

🌳 What You'll Do
You'll work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver features that have measurable customer and business impact.
Responsibilities include:
- Building backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Designing robust, maintainable software
- Solving complex performance and scalability challenges
- Contributing to technical architecture and engineering best practices
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
- Mentoring engineers and promoting high technical standards
- Shipping high-quality software in a fast-moving environment

You'll likely have:
- Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript

- Startup or scale-up experience with a high level of ownership
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- An interest in AI and modern software engineering
