We are collaborating with a leading sports technology group that operates a diverse portfolio of brands in sports news, betting, and entertainment, reaching millions of users daily. This organisation is at the forefront of digital innovation in the sports industry, continuously evolving its platforms to deliver engaging and high-performance experiences.
The Role
- Develop microservices in a distributed deployment environment with an emphasis on containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Work on the core logic of complex systems accessed millions of times a day
- Collaborate with Product Owners and team members on new features and user stories
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to vision and standards
- Respond to support calls for production applications
- Mentor less experienced team members

What You'll Need
- Minimum of 6+ years in a relevant backend role
- Strong experience with highly-scalable web backends and designing highly transactional systems
- Advanced proficiency in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and analysis
- Deep understanding of Microservices
- Strong experience with container and cloud solutions such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
- Excellent communication skills in English
