Senior Backend Enigneer
Senior Product Engineer (Backend)
A growing fin-tech company are looking for a Senior Product Engineer (Backend) to join their team. The work they do is helping solve problems in the payments/insurance space.
💸 Up to £100k
📍 2 days a week onsite, London based office
What You'll Be Doing
- Building robust, scalable backend services that support products used at scale.
- Solving complex technical challenges with a focus on performance, resilience and maintainability.
- Shaping technical direction and contributing to key architectural decisions.
- Collaborating with talented engineers and product teams to deliver meaningful customer value.
- Raising the engineering bar through thoughtful code reviews, mentoring and sharing best practices.
- Continuously improving tooling, processes and platform capabilities to help the team move faster.

Experience needed:

- Experience building and maintaining backend applications in a modern software engineering environment.
- Proficiency in Node/Typescript.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience designing scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions.
- Familiarity with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing and version control.
