About Dwelly
Dwelly — a UK-based, AI-enabled lettings and property management platform, that is growing through a roll-up strategy acquiring estate agencies. The company leverages two arms: i) acquiring existing letting agencies, effectively buying its highly sticky, recurring revenue-type landlords portfolios, and then ii) building a top-notch technology to automate tenant management, payments, and post-rental property maintenance. The company seamlessly integrates AI services to automate all business processes within brick-and-mortar real estate agencies, integrating them into a tech-enabled digital letting platform in two months to radically improve the user experiences and increase efficiency of the business.
We’re a fast-growing, product-focused company, backed by top-tier investors and led by a team with deep experience in real estate, technology, and operations.
Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build Dwelly’s internal Data Migration Platform — a system that connects to legacy CRMs, extracts and validates agency data, handles exceptions, and imports it safely into Dwelly’s core platform.
This role goes beyond standard backend API development. You will build production systems around messy CRM data, external integrations, validation logic, migration workflows and operational edge cases.
Your mission is to make every new agency migration faster, safer, more repeatable and less dependent on manual work.
What You’ll Do
- Build an application that connects to external CRM systems used by acquired agencies, extracts relevant data, and prepares it for migration into Dwelly.
- Work with APIs, exports, files, databases and poorly documented legacy systems.
- Design workflows for cleaning, mapping, normalising, deduplicating, and validating complex CRM data before it enters Dwelly's core platform.
- Build safe import flows with retries, audit logs, dry runs, error handling and manual review where needed.
- Work with entities such as landlords, tenants, properties, tenancies, payments and maintenance records.
- Use LLM APIs pragmatically for schema mapping, data classification, entity matching, exception triage and quality checks.
- Own the platform end to end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and production support.
- Work closely with engineering, product, operations and integration teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
