Senior Bartender - Newcastle Team
GAUCHO
We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Bartender to join our GAUCHO Newcastle team!
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, passionate bartender with in-depth knowledge of cocktails and spirits, able to deliver high-quality drinks according to our GAUCHO specifications and the Cycle of Service. They will have a proven ability to manage teams effectively, work well under pressure, and serve as a role model in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining skills and expertise: Keep up-to-date with all training and product knowledge acquired through the GAUCHO Academy.
- Completing post-academy training: Fully attend and respond to all required company training sessions.
- Supporting the team: Train and mentor junior bartenders, acting as a role model to new staff.
- Quality service: Ensure flawless execution of duties—cleaning, setting up, handing over, and closing the bar in line with standards.
- Stock management: Maintain inventory for beverages, garnishes, and glassware as required.
- Drink & food service: Deliver drinks and food orders strictly in accordance with Cycle of Service standards, focusing on quality, consistency, and timing.
- Compliance: Ensure every drink meets GAUCHO specifications for ingredients, presentation, and servicing timings.
- Waste reduction: Assist with stock control and FIFO stock rotation to minimise waste.

Requirements
- At least 2 years of previous experience in cocktail making.
- Passion for cocktails and spirits, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Confidence in a busy, high-pressure environment, capable of managing complex shifts effectively.
