  • Deeply understands our models and software
  • Translates technical insights into actionable, evidence-backed guidance
  • Builds trust with customers while driving commercial outcomes

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Primary technical liaison for a portfolio of customers, bridging our modelling/safeguarding teams with client engineering/product teams.
  • Deep technical expertise in battery models:
    • Explain model outputs, uncertainties, and limitations to sophisticated audiences
    • Lead end-to-end customer campaigns, from protocol design to data interpretation
    • Present findings in high-quality technical presentations
  • Identify and resolve gaps between customer expectations and model capabilities
  • Own the technical narrative in:
    • Customer reviews
    • Milestone meetings
    • Discussions with senior OEM/Tier 1 stakeholders
  • Collaborate to improve our software:
    • Work with embedded and modelling teams to integrate customer insights
    • Enhance real-world usability across diverse applications
  • Create and maintain customer documentation:
    • Technical guides
    • Application notes
    • Integration manuals (explaining complex models in plain language)
  • Optimise workflows for:
    • Customer onboarding
    • Software calibration
    • Performance reporting
  • Scale processes to support continued growth.

Key Skills showcased

✅ Battery engineering/expertise in modelling (physics-based, empirical, or data-driven) ✅ Practical experience with Python/MATLAB/Simulink ✅ Communicate advanced technical insights for non-specialist stakeholders ✅ Client-facing experience – Own technical relationships while driving strategic outcomes ✅ Agile multidisciplinary work – Bridge between engineering and business teams.

Your Background

We’re looking for ** passionate scientists/engineers** with:

  • Industry or research experience in:
    • Battery engineering
    • Electrochemical modelling
    • Closely related fields
  • Technical depth:
    • Strong grasp of battery physics (e.g. degradation mechanisms)
    • Ability to critically evaluate model assumptions and outputs
  • Software/data skills:
    • Hands-on experience with battery models (empirical, physics-based, or ML-informed)
    • Knowledge of Python/MATLAB/Simulink is a huge plus
  • People skills:
    • Clear communication – Explain complex concepts simply to teams and non-specialists
    • Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or customer support
    • Moment-to-moment adaptability – Engage with modelling engineers in the morning, then present to customers in the afternoon
  • Personality:
    • Collaborative & proactive
    • Kind and conscientious
