The Role
Job Title: Trade Credit Information – Business Development Manager (Sales) Location: Ireland (with Irish Market focus) Target Focus: Companies with €50m–€500m turnover, ideally headquartered in the UK
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business (logo) sales to meet and exceed individual sales targets.
- Proactively generate and follow up leads through networking, prospecting, and leveraging Coface marketing resources.
- Raise awareness of Coface’s Business Information solutions in the Irish Market, positioning the company as a trusted partner in financial intelligence, risk management, and economic insights.
- Identify and engage with high-value opportunities within €50m–€500m Irish or UK-based companies, maximising strategic fit.
- Build and expand a network of industry introducers and strategic partnerships (e.g., international brokers) to create sustainable lead pipelines.
- Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers (CFOs, treasury directors, risk managers) to consolidate Coface’s market position.
- Collaborate with Commercial Management, Marketing, and Pre-Sales to manage, qualify, and escalate leads—closely tracking performance against KPIs.
- Draft contract documentation via Coface’s proprietary CofaFlow system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct KYC (Know Your Customer) and UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner) checks on all new policies sold.
- Work seamlessly with Application, Administrative, and Pre-Sales teams to deliver a seamless client experience from prospect to onboarding.
- Monitor proposal responses and Tender (RFP) consultative approaches, fine-tuning offers and working with Regional & Group Sales teams to close deals.
- Leverage existing Coface trade credit customer networks within the UK as a strategic advantage.
- Convert and nurture internal leads via targeted discourse.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on performance metrics, learning from successes and challenges.

Qualifications & Experties Required
✔ Qualification:
- Degree (preferably a brand 2:1+) in a Business or Finance related discipline.
✔ Experience & Skills:
- Strong understanding of Business Information solutions, including their mechanics, value proposition, and workings in trade and credit risk assessment.
- Proven successful track record in selling business information products (preferably in a corporate B2B environment).
- 6+ years of relevant sales experience, ideally with large corporates—proven ability to exceed sales targets autonomously.
- Self-motivated: excellent at self-generated lead generation, managing workflow, and prioritising tasks.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the social intelligence to build and retain strong client relationships over time.
- Strategic networker: easily forge enduring partnerships with industry stakeholders (brokers, consultants, prescribers).
- In-depth awareness of contract structures, familiar with financial underwriting and risk management frameworks.
- Understanding of global economic trends & organisational structures, and how they impact target markets.
- Strong grasp of financial intelligence tools (e.g., data reports, credit scoring systems).
