Role Description
Job Title: Business Development Executive – Trade Credit Insurance & Business Information (Targeting UK Mid-Market + Irish Market)
Objective: To drive new business sales for Coface, meeting individual targets by proactively securing profitable Trade Credit Insurance and Business Information opportunities within the UK and Irish markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Zielsetzung & Networking
- Deliver new business sales to meet individual sales targets.
- Generate and manage leads via proactive prospecting and networking.
- Utilize Coface’s marketing resources to capture engagement.
- Develop a deep understanding of target companies (turnover: €50m–€500m), prioritizing HQ with UK ties for maximum contribution.

2. Lead Generation & Market Development
- Nurture awareness of Coface’s Trade Credit Insurance, Single Risk, Surety Bonds, and Factoring products within the Irish market.
- Identify and develop business opportunities via networking, partnerships, and introducers.
- Strengthen ties with international brokers and other prescribers to increase market share.
- Convert internal leads within the UK and Irish pipelines.
3. Consultative Selling & Client Relationships
- Qualify opportunities at a high level, engaging with CFOs, Treasury Directors, and Risk Managers.
- Answer Request for Proposals (RFPs) and lead strategic offering decisions.
- Build long-term client relationships through consultative solutions.
- Work closely with:
- Commercial Management & Marketing to align lead strategies.
- Legal/Pre-Sales teams for contract documentation via CofaFlow.
- Administrative/Service Teams to ensure seamless customer acquisition.
- UK Trade Credit Insurance Teams to leverage existing insured portfolios.
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Perform rigorous KYC (Know Your Customer) and UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner) checks on all new policies.
- Provide regular performance reports to management.
- Monitor closing rates and sales pipeline progression.

Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Degree qualified (2:1 minimum) in a business/finance-related discipline.
- Experience working within Business Information & Trade Credit Insurance products.
Sales & Industry Experience
- 6+ years’ proven sales experience within mid to large corporates, with a track record of exceeding targets.
- Specialized experience in selling business intelligence/reporting solutions.
- Self-motivated and autonomous, excelling with little oversight.
Core Competencies
- Proficient self-lead generation, networking, and relationship-building.
- Sharp negotiation & consultative sales skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and assess financial intelligence.
- Strong understanding of contract structures and economic market trends.
