Newmark is experiencing a period of transformation and growth and, with significant investment behind us, plans to grow the EMEA business to more than £500m+ over the next three years. The Client Development team has a pivotal role in delivering growth across the business.
Alongside the Marketing Team, we work closely with Group, Sector and National heads to help them create and deliver effective BD & Marketing plans. The team focuses on the key areas of Client Solutioning, Client Targeting, Pitch and Tender Response Management, Client Partnerships and Cross Selling by bringing together teams to target new business, oversee and structure pitch and bid opportunities and manage client teams. This ensures we are investing in our long-term client relationships, securing new opportunities and are effectively managing an expansive Newmark referral network across EMEA, the US and the wider global business.
About The Role
Based in London and supporting teams across Newmark’s national offices, this senior, hands-on role leads the end-to-end coordination, creation and delivery of high-quality and compelling responses to pitches, presentations and proposals. You will drive the full bid lifecycle from start to finish, coaching and influencing senior stakeholders, ensuring on-time submission.
- Own the end-to-end pitch process: opportunity qualification, pitch strategy, approach and win themes, storyboarding, content planning, drafting and editing and finalisation for submission
- Oversee registered tender portals: monitor pipeline, ensure registrations and credentials are current, circulate opportunities to relevant teams, and coordinate clarifications and Q&A within deadlines
- Establish and run robust bid governance: create bid plans and schedules, lead kick-offs and reviews and secure timely approvals and sign-offs implementing Newmark’s ‘Pitch to Win’ approach
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary contributors (sector / service line experts, legal, finance, marketing) to develop persuasive, accurate, and brand-aligned proposals
- Build and maintain a high-quality bid content library (case studies, CVs, method statements, standard RFP responses) and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned
- Coach and quality-assure contributions from senior colleagues, elevating messaging, points of differentiation, and USPs across all submissions
- Work flexibly to meet client deadlines and priority timelines, with occasional travel to national offices as required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
