We're looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our Construction team based in Essex

Location: Witham, Essex

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Senior Bid Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in securing exciting opportunities for Kier Construction. You'll be responsible for planning and delivering compelling bids that showcase our expertise and respond to client needs. Working collaboratively with diverse project teams and our supply chain, you'll bring people together to create winning strategies and industry-leading proposals.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Bid Manager, you'll be working within the Construction Team, supporting them in securing new projects and building long-term client relationships. Your day-to-day will include

  • Developing and executing bid strategies that win work, bringing together internal teams and external partners to create compelling responses
  • Managing the entire bid process from launch to submission, ensuring all quality, technical, and commercial requirements are met on time
  • Writing and reviewing quality responses that articulate our strengths and differentiate us from competitors
  • Engaging with client stakeholders and tracking risks, working closely with specialists to mitigate challenges
  • Mentoring and guiding other bid managers, sharing best practice and contributing to continuous improvement across the team

This role of Senior Bid Manager is great for you if:

  • You have extensive experience developing bid-win strategies and delivering high-quality bids to tight deadlines
  • You're an excellent communicator and collaborator, able to bring diverse teams together and inspire others
  • You have a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • You're proficient in MS Word, Excel, and InDesign, and comfortable working with design and production processes
  • You're passionate about continuous improvement and enjoy supporting others to develop their skills
