We're looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join our Kier Construction team based in the North West.
Location: North West - Salford or Speke office alignment - Hybrid working
Hours: 40 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
About the Role
As a Senior Bid Manager, you'll play a key strategic role within our construction team, working closely with senior management to drive successful tendering and shape opportunities from the earliest stages of procurement. We deliver projects typically ranging from £10m to £100m+ across sectors including DfE, Local Authorities, MOD, MOJ, Higher Education, Life Sciences and Commercial. This role has a strong emphasis on first stage bidding, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and two-stage procurement, ensuring Kier is best positioned to influence design, programme, risk and commercial outcomes from inception.

As a Senior Bid Manager, you'll be working within the construction team, supporting them in developing winning bid strategies and securing preferred bidder status. Your day to day will include:

- Leading first stage bid strategy and positioning, ensuring Kier is differentiated early in the process
- Driving client engagement and solution development pre-tender submission
- Working collaboratively with Business Development to secure preferred bidder status
- Overseeing the transition from first stage to second stage conversion and project mobilisation
- Building trusted relationships with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders
What We're Looking For
This role of Senior Bid Manager is great for you if:
- You have a demonstrable track record in first stage bidding and two-stage procurement
- You have expert understanding of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and Framework and negotiated procurement routes
- You have proven ability to influence projects at concept and pre-design stages
- You have commercial and technical awareness, with the ability to balance risk, cost and programme at early stages
- You hold a full driving licence
