About the Senior Bid Manager Opportunity:
PSR Solutions are partnering with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor in the construction industry to find a highly experienced Senior Bid Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven individual to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team in Birmingham, where you’ll play a pivotal role in driving business growth through strategic and successful tender submissions.
As the Senior Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing the bid process from prequalification through to submission with a focus on the first stage, ensuring a high standard of quality and compliance throughout. This position offers excellent career progression within a growing business that is consistently securing high-profile projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the bid process for a range of projects, managing all stages from initial prequalification to final submission.
- Collaborate with senior management, commercial teams, and technical specialists to ensure bids are competitive and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Produce high-quality, persuasive bid documentation, ensuring all submissions meet client requirements, are commercially viable, and align with the company’s standards.
- Develop detailed bid strategies, risk management plans, and win themes to maximise the chances of success.
- Provide clear and concise leadership to the bid team, ensuring timelines are met and key milestones are achieved.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and sub-contractors, throughout the bidding process.
- Continuously assess and improve bid processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bid Manager or Senior Bid Manager, ideally with a Tier 1 or major contractor in the construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, project delivery, and procurement procedures.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrable experience in managing multiple complex bids simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail, with a strong ability to synthesise complex information into clear and compelling submissions.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
