Job Title: Senior Bid Writer
Department: Commercial
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £42,000 pa

Role Overview
Are you looking for an exciting career crafting exceptional bids for an award-winning recycling company? We are looking for an outstanding Senior Bid Writer to support the Tenders Team as the business continues to grow.
Working alongside the Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing winning tender responses. As a key contributor to Bywaters’ growth plans, you will engage with departments across the business to communicate our innovative approach to sustainability.
To succeed in this role, you will be a strong project manager, capable of guiding multiple tenders through to completion. With excellent organisational and administrative skills, the Senior Bid Executive will support the day-to-day management of the tender process, ensuring deadlines are met and submissions are delivered to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Writing copy, formatting information and creating bid content
- Assisting with Project Management by diarising key deadlines and milestones, and creating Gantt charts, Excel charts, and PowerPoint presentations as required
- Meeting with colleagues to gather information and input for bids
- Supporting rehearsals and presentation stage preparations
- Drafting PQQ responses and other preparatory submission documents
- Supporting design and development of proposal documents
- Preparing tender alert emails
- Attending scoping and debrief calls
- Preparing Bid Submission documents for each response
- Preparing Bid Submission Checklists for each response
- Attending Kick Off meetings, taking notes of key actions and decisions
- Uploading PQQ, text responses and other documents to Tender Portals
- Managing tender portals to ensure messages, instructions and documents are received and distributed as required

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Educated to degree (or minimum A level standard or equivalent)
