Job Description

What if you could do the kind of work the world needs?

At WSP, you can access our global scale, contribute to landmark projects and connect with the brightest minds in your field to do the best work of your life. You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.

A Little More About Your Role

Within Energy Networks, you will play a key role in supporting the digital delivery of complex transmission and distribution infrastructure projects. Working closely with BIM Managers, Project Information Managers and multidisciplinary design teams, you will help lead model coordination, maintain BIM delivery standards and improve the consistency, quality and assurance of digital outputs across live projects.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced BIM professional who wants to develop within a growing Energy Networks team, contribute to nationally significant infrastructure, and help shape consistent digital delivery across a major portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the BIM Manager / Energy BIM Lead in applying BIM standards, project workflows and model coordination processes across Energy Networks projects, taking ownership of day-to-day BIM coordination across assigned projects or work packages.
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary project teams delivering transmission and distribution infrastructure, including substations, grid connections, overhead line routes, underground cable systems, protection and control, civil, structural and associated infrastructure scopes.
  • Lead practical model coordination activities across civil, structural, primary plant, secondary systems, protection and control, building services, cables and associated infrastructure, helping to resolve issues and maintain coordinated outputs.
  • Set up, maintain and review project models, including worksharing, model linking, shared coordinates, drawing production support, issue management and model health checks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Undertake and support model quality checks, clash detection, federated model reviews and issue tracking using tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Support the implementation of BIM Execution Plans, model production methods, coordination procedures, naming conventions, model exchange processes and agreed project BIM standards, escalating gaps, risks or blockers where needed.
  • Maintain BIM-related project information, file organisation, CDE workflows and supporting documentation to enable controlled information exchange, audit trails and delivery assurance.
  • Work with BIM Managers, Project Information Managers, discipline leads, designers, technicians, document controllers and project managers to resolve model coordination issues and support clear delivery outcomes.
  • Support BIM coordination meetings, model review sessions and design workshops, ensuring actions, issues, decisions and responsibilities are clearly captured and progressed.
  • Provide guidance, support and informal mentoring to project teams and less experienced colleagues on BIM tools, model coordination workflows and good digital delivery practice.
  • Contribute lessons learned from live project delivery to help improve BIM mobilisation, coordination processes and repeatable ways of working across the wider Energy Networks portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
