I'm working with an innovative AI-driven healthtech company that's helping leading biotech and pharmaceutical organisations unlock insights from complex biological data.
They're looking for a Senior Bioinformatician to join their growing team and play a key role in building scalable bioinformatics workflows that support precision medicine and drug discovery.
This is a hands-on role where you'll analyse large multi-omics datasets, develop and deploy reproducible pipelines using Nextflow and nf-core, and run workflows in AWS.
You'll work closely with software engineers, data scientists and external customers, helping turn complex biological data into meaningful insights.

What you'll be doing
- Building, maintaining and deploying bioinformatics pipelines using Nextflow and nf-core
- Analysing multi-omics datasets including genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics
- Deploying cloud-based workflows on AWS
- Using Python and R for data analysis, scripting and statistical modelling
- Containerising workflows with Docker
- Working directly with biotech and pharmaceutical customers to understand requirements and deliver projects
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across bioinformatics, AI and software engineering
What they're looking for
- A Master's degree or above in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related discipline
- Strong experience with Nextflow and nf-core
- Experience analysing multi-omics data
- Good knowledge of AWS and deploying cloud-based workflows
- Strong Python and/or R skills
- Experience with Docker or other containerisation technologies
- Comfortable working directly with customers and communicating technical concepts clearly
